Joe Rocket Phoenix 2.0 Overpants

Anyone have any opinions or experience with these? I'm looking for overpants with good protection and will still be comfortable in the summer. Need something to wear for the commute to work where I wear slacks all day, so jeans are not an option ... neither are leather track suits.

I wear them for my commute to work. They may not protect you as well as leather, but I don't own leather and it will work better than my dress pants at protecting my skin.
