Would a cooking/food section be of interest? Maybe with a recipe as well as a restaurant review/reccomendation sub-sections.
Just a thought.

hell ya i love to eat, bring on those restaurant reviews!
or.... i dunno if this is a ghey idea, but if on our sunday cruises we take, we could stop off and have some lunch and then review that for other riders that might stop in there after a nice long cruise or something????

i think the powers that be want to keep this a motorcycle related site.
but that's a good idea. i have no time to cook, but i like experiencing new food/restaurants

Yeah, some good biker friendly restraunts would be good to know when we do our back road runs.
I'm always up for a good long ride if theirs a nice meal waiting for me on the other end.

Theres a site http://www.b4-u-eat.com/ but I'd like to have a restaurant review/reccomendation sub-section via this site. B4U eat could be set up better. Having a place on this site might narrow things down a bit, esp if you divide it by areas of town.

since we are off topic anyway how bout a thread on power augers and electric meat grinders?
Then we could steer clear of the cheap chinese knockoffs and grind our meat with only the best!
Or how 'bout one on genetic drift and it's effects on aboriginal inhabitants of subtropical rainforests as compared to arid semi deserts?
These would go good on a motorcycle forum wouldn't they?

That sounds good.
Even for inside Houston, it would be beneficial. Some restaurants would make good bike night candidates if they get good reviews, offer safe parking and where the bikes are visible from a patio or inside.
Also, just to go eat somewhere on a bike, I would be interested in knowing which places are accommodating with motorcycle only parking (if there are any!) and offer good food.

martin, im the only one answering you and that was my opinion and a start to what will eventually be a "dead forum" with little or no activity. i suggested someone do what i meantioned to guage how much real interest there was. if you look at the polls your suggestion isnt running away with approval.

I'm walking with a cane now....Sometimes I still use my cruches so that my leg can heal up completly...Wow it's been 6 months now, amazing how time fly's...In less than 4 months I'm looking to be 100%...No more old schools bikes for me man, so many good things have happened to me since the accident, plus I get to have a new bike....Hardest decision I will have to make is rather to get the 07" GSXR 1000 or 07" R1....I'm kind of digging the 1000RR too but leaning towards the first two for my final decision....I thank God for saving my life, my leg,:icon_bigg and allow me to ride again.....Hallellujah:icon_bigg :icon_thum

how about a section for bike friendly businesses, and a subsection for dining, i almost always end up at sonic while i was riding because they have the tables right out front so you can keep an eyes out on your bike and helmet and stuff. or like san jac mall in baytown their motorcycle parking is closer than the expecting mom's section

i hear the sonic on hwy 35 in pearland just a block south of 518 is the shiz. wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
all kidding aside, i think it would be a great idea. it could also possibly generate some more sponsors for bike shows and such. i run a sonic (see first paragraph) and know alot of sonics host car shows. id like to do that someday for bikes, but im an older, smaller store and just dont have the room for it. BUT word is im getting a new store pretty soon. im keeping my fingers crossed.
