Well after having this bike for a few months and everyone telling me I was goign to get a ticket for an obstructed licesne plate, this morning I did! I was driving through the neighborhood on my way to work, going 30 in the 30 and guess what a motorcycle cop was catching speeders! I pulled up to the stop sign where he was writing a ticket to another car and nodded my head. Just as I was about to pull away he yelled for me to stop! So I turned off the bike and stated to take off my helmet. He did a walk to the rear of my bike and bam goes over to get his ticket book! Starts writing me a ticket for an obstructed licesne plate! After talking to the cop for a few minutes who was a really nice guy besides the fact he was writing me a ticket, he told me to get it fixed and I would get it dismissed! No big deal but now I have to figure out how to mount the plate without drilling hole in the fender elimiator kit. Maybe the swingarm bracket, I am open to suggestions. I have attached a older pic so you can see where the plate sits.

The funny part to this whole thing is, I was going to call in sick to work today cuz I wasnt feeling good but instead decided to go in anyway. And this happens, :crying: Oh well just had to vent.

Let me know what ideas you think would work best.

chicken wire it to the passenger peg. Then just figure out a way to light it.
Get it inspected, then put it back to the way it was. You'll be fine.

You can beat it. He should've wrote the ticket for 'License incorrectly mounted', not 'obstructed plate'.

got the same ticket last week. its a fix it ticket though, so no biggie. cop also commented on my lack of red reflectors on the rear of my bike (i have orange ones). annoying, but an easy fix.

as long as you tighten the plate down well...on the swingarm works well!!
