alright here's my situation. i have a komodo Ceno jacket and i commute to work often. Since my jacket has a Hump on the back i can't use my backpack. so now im looking for another jacket to use for work.

over at www.sandhillspowersports.com they have a Fieldsheer Kinowa Perforated leather jacket for $194 free ship.

another choice was just to get a field sheer MEsh jacket the Johnny cool mesh jacket. for $112 free ship

what would be more suitable for houston weather? i was leaning towards the Leather jacket. just not sure with the hot weather coming up in a month or two.

I feel naked when i wear my joerocket mesh jacket. Get a mesh jacket that comes with hard plastic padding NOT foam like the rockets. Patrick has some really nice ones but can't remember what its called

i had a Cortech HRX jacket. it had the hard plastic CE approve armor. it was a next jacket. but one fall and that was it for that jacket.

i got the cortech intake, when i got knocked down the other day it did its job,
pads worked but the asphalt did a number to the fabric it at 30 mph, i still wear it but i think its a one fall jacket, cheap though and it was cool in july and august when ur not at a stop light, and in the winter (28 deg) the liner was very very good

all in all good for one fall, just dont fall right....

I wear a fieldsheer 2pc perforated I wear year round. Little warm when I get in traffic but fine when I am moving. Cold as hell to wear in the winter.

Stop and go, mesh.

I wear mesh in the summer, but mine has the CE armor, not foam pads.

are Perforated leathers with holes or just a passage for air to pass through by unzipping it.

ALPINESTARS TEXTILE JACKET!!!!!!

+1. I got an A-stars and it has CE rated armor. I also got the backprotector for it.

It has great ventilation for the summer and keeps the hot sun of your skin. If you store it in an airconditioned room before hitting rush hour traffic, it keeps its cool for a little while. If you ride fast, the ventilation works great.

any jacket is hot as hell in the summer time in Houston, so might as well go with the one that provides the best protection which is a leather jacket. you can find some pretty good lather jackets that breathe for a decent price. It's all about protection so go with the best!!

my boss just bought a vanson mesh jacket for $150. it has armour, and it's 100% mesh. I actually rode with it on while transporting his bike. It was nice and snug. I may get one later on.

I use this A*s jacket year round for commuting. It was inexpensive , has hard armor, a liner and goes with any bike. :icon_thum:

i looked at that jacket as well, they have them over at Lundsford Honda. dunno, i like vanson's products but i couldn't see it holding up well.

thinking about a "venting machine" jacket from BMW, pretty pricey but from all the reviews i've read everybody loves theirs, and they crash well.
