Adjusting your throttle free play will give you the little bit extra throttle response you may be missing. It is so simple to do you can do it at a light.

Free play extra slack in your throttle, when you have free play you can roll the throttle without the butterfly valves actually opening up yet in your throttle bodies. I personally don't like have free play, but some free play is suggested so you aren't accidentally controlling your idle speed from your throttle.

PIC's Depict a R6's adjustments, Other bikes vary on adjustments and locations of knock's and cables, check your owners / repair manual for yours.

Turn this knock counter-clockwise to tighten the freeplay.

If for some reason you have an insane amount of free play and the first adjustment only helps a little then check your adjustment at the engine. The green arrow is the acceleration cable tighten this to help your free play. The blue arrow is your decel or snap back cable, adjust this if you throttle isn’t snapping back as you think it should.
