Unlike todays bikes and their power and styling, I began quite some years ago.... I took the MSF so I didn't have to do the ridiculous DPS driving test with a car etc etc... BUT I like many others didn't start out on a 250 or 500

No, I wasnt riding in sandals, I drove my car out to that spot, and was just chillin on his bike.......which was the bike I learned how to ride on.
