I hate to say it, but there are too many egos on this board to allow that to happen... please guys. Ride safe. If someone is faster than you, don't let it bother you. Don't push yourself... having your bike brought back to the pits in the crash truck is a terrible feeling.

REMEMBER: YOU CAN'T CLAIM A CRASH AT THE TRACK ON YOUR INSURANCE!!! ALL REPAIRS WILL BE OUT OF POCKET.... AND YES, MANY INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE VERY THOROUGHLY INVESTIGATING CLAIMS NOWADAYS.

there arent too many people on here that have confirmed for the day, so we'll see how many of us are going,,, my last time out we got 8 sessions,, that was great..

Thats only if you have full coverage anyway. And if you wanted to you could just as well say that you wrecked the bike on the street instead of the track. Anywho I think people overuse their insurance for claims anyway. I have never made a claim, so much better in the long run to take the hit and pay out of pocket.

True... but what if one person on this board wants to call in to your insurance company and let them know what happened. I've seen if before on another board I'm part of. And frankly, I think it was justified. I'm not saying I'd do it (none of my business) but it's risky cause you'll have to fill out of police report cause insurance companies are cracking down on the "failure to control vehicle" payouts.

and what happens when someone runs you off the road you crash and the car or truck runs,
then claim it on your ins as a run off, not being your fault.. happened to someone i know and nothing was said about it, no need for police report, but that was several years back.. they just had him get an estimate faxed to them and wrote him a check, we fixed it back up ourselves with a little pocket change to spare. no big deal,, dont know if that'll happen now days..

I know State Farm requires a police report for that type of situation. After my crash at TWS someone (who's very prominent in the Houston motorcycling arena) advised me to fill out a false police report and submit it to my insurance company. I was supposed to tell the police that it was a hit and run. Needless to say, I didn't do it... I fixed the bike out of pocket (about $2000) but it was worth it to me. I'm not going to lie and cheat to cover up my mistakes.

The only reason it was worth it was because I learned a valuable lesson about riding... pushing it and crashing isn't worth it. Unfortunately it took me 5 trackdays to figure that out. I've since learned that there is no need to push myself since I'm not racing for the world championship or anything. I'm out there to have fun. It's a heck of alot more fun comming home with my bike intact (3 times) than it is coming home with my bike in pieces (2 times).

Oh... and I did learn alot of bikes when repairing my bike last time, hahaha.* ;D

If you have insurance on a race bike then I have a nice bridge in San Francisco I can sell you REAL cheap... :o

CarbonJames

just get your tail section swapped out and leave it as it is,,, dont even put a pipe on it,,, maybe remove the cap and take out some of the packing to give it some sound...

I think he may be doin some cornerworkin. He's no too much of a camper so he'd rather drive waaay early in the morning. He was tryin to get his bike runnin ASAP and was missing a thing or two last I talked to him. We'll see ;)

no rush man! I think the best group to practice your forms/lines/pace, etc is in the B group (LSTD), or level 2 (RS). When you get to level 4 or A group there's not much practicing cuz you're just focused on not getting passed and the pace is so much faster obviously. People have tried to rush and hop into the A group and they realize they're not ready and move back down. So just take your time, learn your stuff, and you'll know when you're ready to give the A group a shot. :icon_thumright:
