Sucks, but at least you didn't suffer any injuries. Is the bike still rideable?

I luckily was wearing a helmet and joe rocket jacket. My bike got a little messed up and is not ridable. :( my crank case broke oil leaked everywhere then i cant figure ut if my for is bent or my front wheel is but its not accuratly straigh, my front fairing broke, my muffler got all scratched up and dented then i dnt know the name of the part but it conects to the frame and holds my radiotr in place on both sides is cracked and bent on both sides. A little road rash on the fairings and :( my hearts broke... I loved this bike to death i just replaced air filter and detailed it then got off work and smack... luckily the cop stop the guy before he fled. My bike is most likely going to be considerd "totaled" Due to the year. Its a 97 fzr600 with 17,000 miles :( so much for the new clutch cable i ordered for her. </3

1.) I know it's a common phrase, but let's hope it never has to come to that.
2.) '97...with the insurance, it'll be a good opportunity to get a newer bike with less miles. I know some older bikes, cars, and trucks have their own unique character and all, but its 14 years old, and not necessarily one that you would consider a "classic." Time to upgrade to a newer suspension, better braking (hey, bikes have ABS now! *sarcasm*), and something that doesn't have as many miles. Now that you're "experienced," after riding for some time, bigger bike?
3.) It's just a part. Sell it online, and call it a day. OR, try to return to manufacturer.
