Tank bag?

Get the Cortech magnetic tank bag. doesn't scratch your tank and has a sleeve to put a map. We do carry them in stock

How big?
What do you want to carry?

I use a really nice Cortech mini bag most of the time on my bike.
It'll hold a folded up sweatshirt or other small items.

Cortech makes some larger ones, as does Chase Harper.
If you're looking to carry a laptop, I'd recommend one of the hardbags from Axio.
I keep some of the Cortech bags in stock. The rest I can get in a day or two.

i agree with you on that one. i use my bike to get to work 90% of the time. since my leather has a racing hump now i can't even use my backpack. so when i really need the backpack i where my mesh jacket and with the backpack on i feel my chest being squeeze.

Plastic tank or metal tank?
I love magnetic tank bags. I've never had an issue with them slipping, and everything is right where I need it when I'm riding - within arm's reach.

If it's plastic, you might consider one of these, made by Luggage Locker and it attaches to the gas cap instead of the tank.

i have the icon urban tank bag, really big and can double as a backpack with a helmet carrier. but fully loaded it gets pretty big and can't tuck behind the windscreen. and my Ninja has a metal tank with a plastic airbox cover so only the rear magnets attach and when lightly loaded will fly off into my chest at speed. Just a thought but it works nice to carry alot of books to school then cary as a backpack.

I have one as well and think of it as junk. The magnets are weak(with any kind of load) and not water"resistant" as Icon has claimed to me in email. I have to say as a backpack it is Ok though especially with the helmet carrier option.

Now anyone have some good GSXR forums they can recommend?

3 inch drywalls screws will help attach them to the tank, metal or plastic. Also eliminates those troublesome back pack straps when you wanna carry it.

I've got a magnetic tank bag made by Rapid Transit. It has a map pocket, cell phone pocket, waterproof mp3 pocket, rubber grommets for headphones and hydro pack, backpack straps, etc. It has a rain cover in a pocket by itself that stays attached by an elastic band so you always have it. I've never had any problems with the magnets either, it sticks great. Frank Thomas makes one I like a little better than mine, I think it is the Sport tank bag on sale at CG.
