Well I wrecked my gsxr a while back and at the time of the wreck I wasnt wearing my mesh jacket(yes I regret it). I did wear the helmet and it only has scuff marks on the front plastic and some paint scratched off.

The jacket is in perfect condition and the helmet could use a paint job and new front mask.

The Helmet is a HJC helmet(not sure on the size).. I will get the size and pictures asap.

Not sure on the jacket.. I will check as soon as I get home and also post pics( the jacket is a medium I believe).. I am 5'11 and 140lbs and it fits perfect

Your supposed to get a new helmet if you even DROP it (according to manufacturers) I would never put my head in a helmet that has been wrecked.. you dont want to gamble with your life like that.

ya what happens is the inside of the helmet is made of a material that when it is impacted it absorbs the impact and contracts... but theres no way once it contracts to expand it back to its form... so it becomes more brittle in that spot and wont protect as well.... by no means am i an expert but thats my understanding of it.

go to the snell website, www.smf.org , it tells you what NOT to look for in a helmet.
