Here's a link to the 2006 voter's guide for Houston/Harris County. The local elections count more than anything else. There are 8 City Of Houston propositions on the ballot this year. When these propositions pass or fail you usually notice the results within no time (taxes go up, new laws, etc).

Take five minutes to look over it. Then go vote. (HEY YOU'RE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR AN EXCUSE TO RIDE ... RIGHT?)

What/Who to vote for:

Where do I vote:
Usually at your local Middle/High school.
http://www.vote411.org/bystateresult.php?state=TX

When:
You can vote early (check the link) or you can wait until Tuesday when all the polls will be open.

Why:
Uh, because you have the right to.

Of course you could always be a lazy a$$. In that case stay home, get left out, and let others' decide for you. :happy3:

I was laughing when the lefties tried to set up free shots in the poorer (dem) voting areas. LOL then on the other hand sekula gibbs was showing up at voting sites. :eh: repubs and dems both dumbarses.

I will ask though who is everyone voting for for gov. my wife isn't voting and frankly doesn't care so I'll vote through her. :laughing6

www.dontvote.com is usually a good resource for candidate/issue information as well. They have a the complete roster and a general bit of information on the candidates as well as links to those candidates websites on the page.

LMAO...:laughing6 sounds like a lil female friend of mines...shes like "They're all liers, I'm not voting for any one of those bastards"...

Not sure who I'm voting for for Gov., but Rick Perry has to go. I don't like Bell. Strayhorn probably has my vote. I'm curious who everyone is voting for in the Senate...

I voted today.

You have to do your civic duty if you want to complain about them later.
