sup yall.

i need a new chain for my ride, and im going to get new sprockets too.

stock is 525 chain, 108 links. 16/45 teeth.

my bike allready has a 520 conv, with 2 up in the rear, i would guess -1 in the front, but i havnt confirmed this. either way im going to go -1/+2 from stock.

for the life of me i cant remember the guideline for needing a different size chain. i want to say if your doing -1/+2 the stock length is ok, but i cant remember, can anyone confirm or deny?

also, for future reference, what is formula for # of teeth added to # of links to add to the chain length?

:notworthy in advance for advice! thankz! :hello:

Typically add one link for every tooth added, subtract 1 for every tooth taken away, pretty straightforward.
I usually just buy either a 110 or 120 length chain and cut it exactly to where I want my chassis wheel base to be.
It's only a few dollars more and makes life a lot easier.

i would also keep the gears close to stock... no need to add teeth to the rear or take away from the front... it sucks having high RPM's on the freeway at normal cruising
