I asked around and have gotten dozens of answers. how do "YOU" corner and go into turns, I personally am moderate of leaning the bike and myself to take a turn.
one guy how works out of the shop and mancusos tols me he use pushes down on his handle bars and keeps his body str8, WTH!
i can agree with the body leaner and the bike leaner but the handle bar pushing is just..:eekspin:

u have the question wrong, im asking are you/other rider are more of bike or body leaning, im comfortable with my cornering and steering and yes i know how to countersteer, otherwise i would be on my butt the maority of the time on the dirt track

When I make tight turns like a U-turn in a parking lot - I use a counterweight technique by leaning my upper body toward the outside of the turn. Putting more pressure on the outside footrest can help too. Turn your head and look where you want to go. Turn the handlebars more in the direction you want to go for slower, tighter turns.
For the longer and wider turns/twisties, I use more body lean.
MAKE SURE you take MSF, and complete it in full. Its fun, and it can save your life along with many others. Practice, Practice, Practice!

countersteering comes naturally nowdays, but yes in tight u turn corners, i focus a bit more on counter steering. i learned my lesson hard by trying that damned figure 8 box a bunch of times at MSF!

Yes... for me the figure 8 box was no joke either!

It isn't pushing down on the bars, it's pushing forward and back, but the opposite direction you wish to go.
Still amazes me how many people ride and don't understand the basics of steering.
It is impossible to turn the bike into a corner without countersteering. Yes, you can lean and weight the pegs all you want, but whether you are conscious of it or not, you ARE countersteering.
Countersteering is NOT leaning away from the turn.
It is NOT what you are doing in a rear wheel slide (that is steering into the slide after the fact)
