Just got my 1st bike

I have been planning on getting a bike for a while, and a couple of weeks ago I did the MSF course(with my wife) and got my M endorsement(my wife did too).) I have been researching for the past year what bike to get as a first bike. I had Honda 599's, Yamaha FZ6's, and CBR250R's in mind. Well, I got neither, lol. I got a 2006 Suzuki GS500F. Forgive the crappy cell phone pic. I like it. I feel real comfy on it. My wife also likes it too. I hope to one day get an FZ8 or the new CB1000 that's coming out.

you made the best choice in my opinion. imo the 250s are so underpowered that they are unsafe....i also feel they dont really prepare someone well enough for even a 600.

gs500 and ninja 500 are both good but i think the suzuki wins hard on reliabilty. peformance and style. i really think the gs500e's were cooler though. the bike doesnt really aerodynamics of full fairings.

I had a gs500f once; didn't like it to much but it did the trick and it was a reliable bike. it's a great starter bike or just to goof off on lol
