This is the first day i fired my bike up in about a months time, and rode it to the shop today. I needed a new front tire, so i started to warm up the damn bike and it took damn near an hour to let me hit the throttle before it cut out again. It stoped on me in gear twice on the way to the shop and twice coming back. The guy at the shop said i should run all that old gas out of it and try some fuel filter and good gas. What do yall think i should do, because it ran fine a month ago.

what the guy at the shop said. my bike did the same, i ran a gallon of racegas once i got all the old gas out of it, put in a fuel filter, and it ran just fine after that
no love to the bike...no love to the rider.

you should put that fuel additive.....for bikes that sit too long. don't remember what it's called though. also if you have a carburated bike....letting it sit too long is not a very good idea.

Put some Stabil, a water dispersant / octane booster and some fresh gas. Unless your carbs are stopped up it should fix it.

if neccesary, get a cheap fuel transfer pump from autozone ( plastic hand pumps are like 10-15 bucks i think. ) or just pull the tank.
bad gas sucks, there was a thread on here a while back talking about the new ethanol ( i think ) in gas. It tends to seperate after a few days of sitting and can cause problems.
