Available after August 28th, 2006
I'm selling my 2005 Kawasaki 636 race/track bike. I purchased the bike in Oct. 2005, with a salvaged title(small dent in frame on right side... not cressed or near any welds) from a fellow CMRA racer that gets bikes at the auction. The mileage is unknown due to the speedo missing when purchased, since then the bike has had appoximately 1000 miles put on it at trackdays only. One low side since I purchased it, but all damaged parts have been replaced(ram air, plactics, and left rearset). Oil(Motul 5100) & filter(K&N) is changed every other trackday. Suspension is 100% stock. Safety wired per CMRA specs.
GPR steering damper
AK Composites race fairings
Stainless Steel front brake lines
K&N oil filter
Bridgestone BT-002(2 trackdays)
KDL100 shifter(GP shifting)
NRC inigition cover
Frame sliders
Swing arm sliders
Extras include:
Right clip-on
Left rearset
Clutch perch
and a bunch of stock parts(blinkers, rear seat, tail light, etc.)
$5,000 OBO

i WAS looking for something just like this. I have heard the 05 makes a great track bike! Supposed to be night and day over 04, this from a friend who raced an 04 talking about an 05 he test rode.
Great bike, BUMP

Awsome bikes, but tranny's are not very forgiving when it comes to bangin through the gears at track/race pace.

I haven't heard of anyone with an 05 with tranny problems, I know a handful of riders that have had problems with their 06 models, though.
PSYCHO1000, if you want to post some informational thoughts about Kawasaki, do some research first, and post it in the discussion forum instead of post whoring in my thread.
BTW... I haven't had any problems with either the engine nor tranny on this bike, and this is not the reason I'm selling it. I'm retiring from roadracing...

hows the stock suspension on these things? i heard they come with ride height adjust, that they are better then the usual sportbikes suspension? im really looking to try something with aftermarket stuff. i got really comfortable with stock suspension i cant wait to see what a penske or ohlins rides like.

Did you get any of my Pm's or phone message about the wheel chock?

I was able to go faster on this stock, than I was on our 2003 GSXR 750 with worked over suspension.
Just as an explain(cause I can't run this fast)... Ronnie Hay was able to run a 1:51.225 at TWS on completely stock suspension as well as stock gearing in.
