summer wrecks & deaths

it's that time of the year kiddos... the time of year when alllll those "rydazzzz" are out there are showing their mad skillz...

we see this every year... & every year it's just plain sad... deaths all over the place... and yeah shytwrex... sure... "it happens"... careful of karma there einstein...

so for those of you venturing out to play at night... this little bit of advice is for you:

check who you're riding with

no, i'm not talkin about who you rode up to starbucks with... i'm talkin about the group you ride out of there with...

i've hung out plenty of times @ 1960... pp1... and i have seen some pretty stupid wrecks...

so try to make sure that this doesn't have to be you... how again?

check who you're riding with...

& if you don't know who the f*ck you're riding with... then stay AT THE BACK of the pack... why? b/c you don't have eyes at the back of your head fool!... ever seen a video on the internet where the guy wheelies straight into the back of another bike?... this could be you - with a front row seat!... :BangHead:

so again kiddos... please...

check who you're riding with... & if you've never ridden with them... take your ass to the back of the pack... simple...

it just might save you a trip to the hospital... or worse... the morgue...

not sure it's always the riders fault ... i was about killed the other night when a full size van was driving on the wrong side of memorial just west of the cloverleaf and right before Shepherd ... i barely missed the guy ... still haven't figured out how the f'kr he got on the road cuz there aren't any entrances

my friend and another biker, died further down on memorial at the first bridge (look for a memorial) both ran into a car going the wrong way.

efren cornado and david ????, efren didn't own an SS, don't know about the other guy. yeah, around 2-3 am. guy was in a small black car, drunk, inside lane. though efren and the other guy were "racing" so they were at 100+ when they rounded the bend on the inside lane. they tried to swerve away, but efren was up ft. and his bike clipped the L/F of the car, his bike basically exploded........tore apart. his engine flew off and hit the david guy. knocked him off the bike..........another friend who was chasing them in a vette ran over david..........

it was a mess, blood for hundreds of yards, pieces of both riders/bike up and down memorial.

guy went to prison for like 18mos.

now alot of this is assumed/word-of-mouth cuz only 1 person kinda knows what happened( vette guy), but i don't talk w/ him anymore, and it was all sealed up in court.

Yep same people, I knew them from back when we use to race cars off Pinemont.

who ? efren had really given up street riding, i rode his mille R more then he did. and he was into racing mini's........

i got a phone call in the morn. and thats what threw me for a loop, i was like "efren didn't ride the streets".............:sad7:

i've gone the wrong way on a street before but between shepherd and downtown there is one entrance (waugh) and one exit (sabine) with a big concrete barrier in the middle ... the van really had to work at doing this ... i buzzed up to the mini van in front of me that almost had a head on colision with the other van and i could see her shaking cuz she was so scared (that or she was having a seizure) ... it was really scary

I rode with the cool group in July. I usually ride alone. But I know a few who I will definately ride with again.
Heed the advice of these wise sages, people.

I knew them too. David was a husky young guy on an R1 correct? I am bad on the names. And those guys called me crazy...all I can do is look back on those memories and laugh at the good times we had. Sad isn't it?
