Callin all with 03 to 05 R6, i need help

My 03 r6 with 9800 miles is having problems at idle through 3500 to 3800 rpm, its feels real jumpy (reminds me of riding a four wheeler). At idle it feels like its gonna stall cuz its revin up and down but never stalls.... i replaced the plugs a month ago cuz i was having similar problems and that seemed to fix it then. I took it up to grand prix motoring today and they said it didnt have anything to do with spark or ignition, but with the computer...(something electronic) Problem is i moved thursday to college station for college and i only have a motorcycle parkin permit for class!!! Anybody have this problem or have suggestions? I'm gonna call motorcycles unlimited tomorrow cuz they were closed today....

Grand prix motoring said they needed a whole day to diagnose, thats why i didnt leave it (they put a new rear tire on for me).... well thats time and money, i kinda wanted someone to tell me what the problem is who had a past experience...

Early 2003 R6's had an issue with the ignition coils. You might want to have that checked. I have an '03 r6 myself with 21700mi. on the clock and have not had any problems (thank God). Yamaha had a "service bulletin" a year or so ago with regards to the coils. Check-out r6messagenet.net for further info. about it. Good luck:icon_thum

Ya i called around that that is what everyone is saying, thanks for that. i'm gonna take it to the dealership tomorrow

Took it to yamaha south today and got the recall for ignition coils and the recall for front sprocket nut done. FOR FREE! It was quick too, much impressed....even though i bought a service manual and backpack while i was waiting :eek3:
