I'm about to sign up for the class and I'm super excited about taking it!... still trying to decide on the 2 or 3 day for this weekend of Oct 8-10... if anyone is taking the class this weekend let me know! :hello:

I just bought my first bike ('06 Suzuki S40 Boulevard) and the guy I bought it from highly recommended Awesome Cycles.

Houston is about to get another rider!

:thumb: Sweet. I'll be the short Asian guy with the silver HJC. We might cross but your class will probably end before mine even starts and all we have is class time on Friday.

Unless the Instructors screw up, or Ego gets there REALLY early, ya'll shouldn't run into each other.

And Ego, I'm sorry to inform you that I'll be one of your Instructors. :D

I finished my class from there about 2 weeks ago and had a blast. They're a definite recommendation from me, despite the stupid google reviews.

It's good to see you're on a good start egonpax; taking classes and choosing the right moto. Maybe we'll see each other on the street one day.

Ego,
You can be sure, there are no "bad" instructors at Awesome Cycles---only good ones and better ones. When I took the class as few years ago, I had the guy with everything on his bike---GPS, CB, and even a cup holder. Yes, a cup holder. He kept a Whataburger cup in it. Strange? He was a terrific instructor and kept asking us questions about how the lessons applied to real life riding on the streets. That really made you think about what you were doing on a motorcycle in the first place. They are all excellent instructors.

Well i'm signed up for the 3 day class, since we get out earlier on Sat and Sun!

It's great to hear all the positive feedback on here, despite the neg reviews on Google (they mis-calculated and counted the same 2 neg reviews twice!)

I'm glad to be on the path i've chosen. A few years ago I dont think i would have taken the class and probably be not as safe conscience. I think my dad a big influence on the decision to take the course and also on the bike choice.

Oh noes?! :thumb:

Yeh, the google reviews amuse me. If you notice though, all of the complaints are from someone that missed part of the class and was sent home. Basically, they agreed to the rules and then didn't want to own up to them.

My favorite is the "medical emergency" one. He had to stop on the way in and get contact lens solution.

Show up on time and you won't have any issues. :thumb:

Yeah I saw that. The other MSF courses I've found say the same exact thing as you do. Be on time. No refunds.

Wait, the medical emergency was saline? That's a good one right there.

I done some checking with fellow riders and we all agree that Debby is the best teacher. Who disagrees?

Yea, no kidding. I put my own review on Google just to offset some of the ridiculous things I read on there. Without a doubt, I had a great experience.

Hey Hoffalot. We had a fun class didn't we? Met some cool people and we had Dave (Challen) and Mike as instructors.

I know I met Polish Avenger in real life, but I don't know if we ever conversed?

EDIT: Oh and yes, Awesome Cycles are awesome!
