Recommended Tire Pressures

What is the recommended tire pressure for the following tires:
Pirelli Diablo Strada (Using on the Street)
Michelin Pilot Power Street (Using on the Track)

OK. I used the search button and got this thread.
My question is why the difference for the air pressure between track and street. Would a track tire pressure be too low for the street?

What would be the main problem with running a little higher ( 2-3 lbs higher)
than 36-34 for the street.?

Just a tire noob looking for a little knowledge.

As the tire heats up the pressure goes up. Track will heat up the tire more than the street, so you v'e got to start with lower cold pressure (on the track) to end up at the same operating pressure.

Guys, y'all are gonna think I'm crazy. But I've been running 35F/36R on my Pilot Powers at MSRH. I've tried lower pressures but these tires feel like they grip better with higher pressures.

... that's WARM not COLD pressure.

i know for the michilin race tires on the track its 32f and 22r and they work great. on the street ill leave the front were its at and kick the back up a little. but then again i get my tires hot cause i ride the crap outta my bikes

that sounds about right i think i heard at the track it should be close to a 10% increase. or you can go with what feels comfortable to you

Actually thats a 4 - 6 psi. raise in pressure, but that's more of a "guideline" than a hard and fast rule.
Most Mfrs. have a recommended "cold" tire pressure setting for their race tires. Hot pressure is subjective.
