 Sorry to hear. It's not that uncommon, but I'm sure it can't be fun. Hope it goes away quickly!

Maybe you'll be be one of the lucky ones. :hs:
It's not harmful or permanent (it shouldn't be), so be positive and think of it as any other illness that just has to pass.
If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? What do you do? Would it be possible to take a few days off work so you can get used to it? Have you gone to the dr for a complete diagnosis?

take an ibprophen or some other anti-inflammatory. Couldn't hurt if it is actual swelling causing the problem!
Yes, it's called Bell's palsy but, seems you already knew. Did you feel like you were getting a cold or a flu lately? If so, it is most likely that an oportunistic virus caused it. There are some treatments such as Corticosteroids and if it was viral related, aciclovir should work.
Hope you get better soon.

I had it. Lasted about 1 month and still shows some effect on my face (right side). Go to the doctor and see what they can do. What I searched about it showed that it's not that easy to figure out what causes it and it can last a very long time. That said, many in my family have had it and only one is still suffering with very noticeable effects. Good luck man.

yup, fairly common. my brother had the flu real bad in boot and developed bell palsy. he hid it from everyone so he didn't get sent to medical and have to start boot over again.

I know my dad used to get this every once in a while in his late 20s. I'm not sure what he did for treatment, I'll ask him later on when he is off of work.

aciclovir now has a generic counterpart, i believe. I was reading something that they finally got a generic version that is much cheaper!

Steroids make it all better
I've known two people that had it and it went away...both were feeling about the same as you about it, but I say don't make such a big deal about it since it's not permanent and thank God it's not
