Im looking for a new helmet. I currently have a Suomy Spec1-R Extreme and A Shoei RF1000. I have been really interested in the Bell Star or the Vortex and the HJC Full Carbon. Now these will be mostly if not 100 percent for street. I am loving the price on the Bell Vortex and with it being Snell 2010 for only 180.00 that is very attractive. And im looking at 2wheel toys having the HJC Carbon for 199.99 and being local I would love to try this helmet as well.. What do you guys think for a new helmet do you have any experience with these helmets?

I had the HJC Fs-15 which is the same as the carbon, just not made of carbon fiber, excellent fit and finish and very comfortable, very high quality liner.

I a big fan of Arai after crashing with one on the street and the ER Dr. telling me has never seen anyone come out so well in the type of crash I was in. Currently wearing a RF1000 Shoei though.

I have wanted an arai for awhile as well. Im thinking of a corsair V over the winter if they start to discount. I love my Suomy and wear it on the street quiet a bit the only downfall is its kind of a pain to change out visors from day to night riding. I am really liking the HJC.

sinister is a profile, not rx7 corsair.
As for helmet prices..check compacc.com too. They have great prices.
I also am a fan of the Bell Star helmet..as long as its street. Not too crazy about the double sided tape on deflector for high speeds though. Seems kinda a cheap fix and neglecting the issue on initial design.
Rf1000 is decent for a street helmet, but..the liner is not removable making it a pita to wash, ventilation is not bad, but not aweome. For ease of lense removal...shoei is impossible to beat. At least in the high end helmets. Also might look into the Shark RSR2. Heard great things about it as well.

saw this helmet on the track today, sick looking helmet in a turn :)
+ the craziness just makes you more visible which is good in and of itself.

I think my next lid will be an icon. I like the designs and I kinda want a lid that isn't flat black lol

i can honestly say i love my icon! very comfortable, does not stink, liner does not stay wet after riding in the heat, breathes amazing!, quite, does not lift up on my head( my older HJC fs-15 did at higher speeds did) light, and very sexy with my mowhawk on it lol
icon airframe FTW
