last time I got a cleaning the lady gave me a thesis (verbal) on toothpaste.

So I tried the one she reccomended and I must say WOW, what difference.

it's twice the price of other stuff, but she said it is better than all others.

And my teeth feel oh so clean after a brushing with this paste.

Just buy a tube and try it.

i love the stuff too! always use it, but be careful if you have sensitive enamel, it is a bit harsh.

I use aquafresh in the can... works well enough for me..

But I guess I will give this a shot next time.

aquafresh was on her list of NO USE paste

along with the Crest or Cogate Total Health

said it's all marketing and cheap ingredents.

Colgate Total is the highest rated among studies and the most recommended by hygienists... (source: my ex was a hygienist and I've seen it in her peer reviewed journals) sorry.... The difference if I recall was one of the anti-gingival ingredients which Colgate holds the patent on...

Personally I use Colgate total and sprinkle some real baking soda on it for the extra abrasiveness (should be equal to what you are experiencing for much cheaper)

Baking soda does nothing but give you an effervescent feeling in your mouth, peroxide does nothing for cleaning up stains as it would need to be on your teeth for hours to have an effect.
The most recommended toothpaste out there is Colgate Total, and that is because it has an antibacterial ingredient that sticks to your teeth and helps protect them between brushings, as well as through meals. No other toothpaste on the market right now that I know of uses triclosan yet.
