Yeah grip the tank with your legs or you will be in a world of hurt. Start out slow and get a feel for your brakes and what it takes to get it to lift. Have people around to help you judge how high you are going. When you are ready for a little more you can have somebody waiting to keep you from flipping. After that you are on your own.

when i was teaching my self stoppies on the dirtbike i had to go about 15mph til it would roll a little bit...

anything else and it would just donkey kick.....

now ive got it to about 20 mph and rolling...but i wont go as high since i'm a *****

no most of the time you low side really badly if you just jack the brake, the front tire will break loose and you will go down to wichever side your leaning most of the time its usually to the right side. :newbie: :newbie: :newbie:

thats because i dont use the rear brake when i come down not concentrating on that axpect of it yet plus ur stoppies are like 2inches off the ground. I got kicked out of school yesterday man i dont know if will told you, they got pissed i was messen around on the bike prolly another month suspension, dont know till monday for the final word from the commitiee.:gesture: :keke:

squeeze the gas tank with your knees... put your chin over the middle bolt on the handlebars, lean a little forward and grab the front brake... but not to much or you flip over... and start off slow

im not a stunter but i can do stoppies, i figured out how by accident doing emergency stopping drills....

the key to a stoppie is getting enough speed so the you can apply enough brake to get the front suspension to compress and then apply the right amount of extra brake to get the rear to come up then releasing enough to keep it from going over,
also remember you have to use your arms and lower body to keep the back of the bike going straight or it will swivel around and your in deep shit...

again im not a stunter , i only have 1 arm so i can only roll one out about 2o or 30 feet, i dont care to try any harder, i like the track

isn't the key preloading your suspension....hrmmm ...tire pressure...like 25 in the front make sure you have at least 28 in the rear if your gonna do stoppies like prodigy.Stoppies like everything else,comes with time and practice , find you a place to practice and go out and have some fun

he was wanting me to take it to ASI today so he can play on it more, he has only been on it twice and he has the 2nd gear wheelies 3/4 way down the street. I'm stil on the first gear wheelies and no stoppies. Sometimes I can ride a short second gear wheelie and be brave enough to leave the feet up and cover the brake. Almost killed myself and one of our music teachers parked car last week though.
