View Full Version : Jeep corners and fenders
Any idea on a ballpark price to coat a set of TJ full rear corners and tube fenders wet, flat, or wrinkle black? Haven't decided on which texture yet. There will likely also be front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, and a few other bits and pieces that need to match at some point in the future, too.

I would recommend the black wrinke for added durabilty and its not to aggresive of a pattern. Would do excellent on those items.
Lemme rough guess here
corners = 25 each
side bars = 75 ea.
front = 200
and again, this is ballpark as I dont know what type of bumpers, nor the conditon and how much prep work I'm in for :-)

Prep should be pretty much nothing. Degrease and go for it. They'll be brand new, only going on long enough to fit them, then down to you. The rear corners are from the tailgate to just behind the doors. I'll try and find the links when I get home so you have some clue what you're in for.
Just for fun, think you could fit an entire tub in the oven? Would be entirely too cool to PC the whole freakin' body :D (No, I'm not considering it, I'm entirely too lazy to disassemble the entire bloody Jeep)

there is no such thing as degrease and go with it.
I still have to media blast each piece for adhesion.
and yup, oven size is 16'8" x8' x8' a tub will fit no problem.

They're saying "ready for paint," which probably means "ready for 2000 hours of bodywork by a master painter to make it look half assed decent."

yeah, ready for paint means good condition, relatively smooth. should be easy enough to prep.
