trying to install my headres and i need help

im trying to install the arrow headers to my 750 but i noticed that theres linkage between the midpipe and headers but on the new setup theres no bracket to bolt the linkage back up to it. my buddy says its for the valves in the exhaust but im not sure. i dont want to take this thing apart just to find out somehting is missing. does nayone know if the linkage is no longer necessary? what should i do
