VIN#jsigr7ja252101664
I have put a claim in and should hear back soon. And if anyone sees a silver right vortex rearset f/s it's prolly mine cuz I have the other. And some white flex led strips also. And my left fairing has a long crack towards the top
I had just left back to work from lunch at 8 and it was there. And when my fiancé got home at 9:30 it was gone. And the Partment security wasn't doing there damn job...so I see him losing a job in the future.

If it was parked under a carport then it is far from the security gurads fault!!! But it still doesnt make it right for someone to take your shit....

hate to break it to you but. . .this has nothing to do with a security guard. Don't you read the threads around here? Was the bike protected with an alarm? disc lock? was it even covered? shitty feeling bro, I HATE theives!!!

They could have put it in a van but once again the guard isn't soppose to let people in if they dot live there or with someone who does. And if so it was someone in the complex

Alarms are good if you can hear them and they cant be dismantled wo going off.
Add a backup battery to it too incase they are able to disconnect the battery/pull cords etc etc.

Apartment + Bike = Big money for thieves on Ebay....Why are you surprized? Next time put it inside, get a garage, put it in storage, etc...Would you leave $3000 cash sitting in your car port? Then why in f*ck would you leave your bike sitting outside in a carport?

sorry to hear.
unfortunately, i see it the same as others do, and don't think the guard at the gate has anything to do with it. for all we know, it could easily have been rolled into another apartment.
i hope everything works out well for you in the end.

I agree with yall saying its not the guards fault... but the guard should only let in people that live in the complex or get all the info before letting them in the complex.
I've seen places where they just open the gate without looking and are too lazy to get info of the car coming in.

I wish you luck in the recovery of your bike.

Seriously, Harris County needs to implement a "bait" bike program to try and curb theft! It breaks my heart to hear of stories like this.
They need to stop citing people for speeding-tickets -- to generate extra revenue, and they need to do some real work in catching these thieves! :banghead:
