Anyone know what the cost of getting a motorcycle license is? I've been here: http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/administration/driver_licensing_control/dlfees.htm but am still not quite clear on which applies to me.

I'll be (hopefully) taking the brc msf course at Awesome Cycles this weekend. I had to skimp and scrounge to get the dollars for the msf, and will be running pretty low after I pay for it. I just want to make sure I have enough before I head to the DPS.

Thanks!

Its 20 bucks or under and 5-6 every renewal.

so have you afforded gear?

and if you "can't" afford gear, think when are you most likely to crash and need gear, as a new rider or experienced.

gear is cheap compared to skin.

I thing that would be the fee after the mandatory 15 hour course you have to take for the M license. The fees of the course is between $150- $195.00
He's already taken into account the cost of the course.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I'm running low :) MSF + padded jacket + a* gloves + helmet + boots(not moto specific). Your posts are the main reason I waited until I got proper gear and msf before I take the bike further than around the block. So, I guess I have you to thank for me being broke.. but safe :D

Registered for the msf at Awesome Cycles this weekend. Saved enough with the MH discount that getting the license shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks :)
