I had my 2002 yamaha r6 stolen from me this morning. It happened over here in some apts on the southside of houston near Almeda Genoa. Its a black r6 with an orange flame job with the grim reaper pointing at you and it also has yamaha and r6 painted in flames. It also has a m4 high mount exhaust, hid lights, and a hole in the lower left fairing. I will post some pics here in a bit but if anyone has info call me at 832-964-3711

Shit, that sucks. Good luck man. Hopefully they'll have a hard time hiding it since the plastic is all custom and someone will see something. Hope they get what's coming to them.

Did you have the lock on? or do you leave it unlock. Cause if they were moving it throught the grass and you see the treads then they must have be more than 4 people to load that up in a truck... Its hard to move if it's lock.

SouthernSix

front end was locked

Nah I've seen and heard of 2 people stealing bikes in mini vans. Look it up on you tube. One guy picks up the front tire barely and the other just shoves it in the side door of the van. It took them 45 seconds tops.

I'll be on a look out too.. Dang! it just sucks because I thought cars were the one's that have it bad out there but Hell bikes are bike and really there's no really protection other than putting an alarm on it. But it depends on how much you want to spend. Theres some place I heard about that you can buy a GPS and install it on there and locate were it's going... But it's a pretty pennie

SouthernSix

With all the stolen bikes i wonder why ppl dont take much more precautions. Everyone reading this, it can happen to you. Shit i got both my bikes cable locked together, one with a disc lock and the other with a grip lock AND BOTH in a garage... IT COULD HAPPEN TO ME. Sorry to hear about your bike man, hope that GPS pulls through for you.

what kind of gps?

like a tracking device? or like a garmin?

lojack style?

just curious... I ride with my gps on my bike sometimes so I can monitor my speed since it's geared... but wouldn't leave it with the bike

Did you have F/C? Hopefully you did so that you can recover most of the value of the bike.

I think we need a "bait bike" to catch the group of theives....

A bait bike would be a great idea and I would be down to participate in some sort of operation. Then we could actually follow the thieves to their place of operation or just catch them in the act and have street justice. Either way I'm intrested in something like that.:thumb:

I'd be down for helping out with a bait-bike type thing, i dont have a bike to donate but i wouldnt mind pitching in for some tech gadgets for active tracking or something.

The bike Im building will be a full fledged bait bike :thumb:

Sorry to hear about this situation. I responded to your PM w the info we need.

I hope it is found and again Im sorry to hear that you were a victim to these heartless bastards that dont even deserve to become fertilizer for their inconsiderate actions.

If you do find the bike, dont get over anxious; let law enforcement do their job and call us so those whom already have records can take care of things and keep you clean/not mess up your life/job/relationship/family :thumb:
