get a sock and cut the toes off, slide the sock over your shoe and over the laces. Keeps your laces from getting hung up and also keeps the shifter from leaving scuffs.

Boots FTW. So what if they have a 4" heel. :thumb:

Yea, I've had the shoe string hangup one time. Dropped my bike :( No major damage though. Now I make it a point to tuck my shoe strings if I wear normal shoes/laced boots.

Shift riding shoe/boot FTW. Looks and feels like a leather tennis shoe with high ankle protection and velcro strap. Comfy as hell.

I think they look pretty cool.
At least they're not bulky ass racing boots.
I rode about 200 miles this past saturday all around Houston running errands wearing these and they were snug and as comfortable as a regular shoe. I actually got a couple of compliments.

I have the shift fuel shoe/boot as well. Love em! At first they were a little too stiff but now that they are broke in.. more comfy than my Nike's. I think they look just fine. In black.. the white ones.. not so sure about those.

I have the A* Ridge boots and wear them all day when I take the cycle to work. They're surprisingly comfy even after a few hours in them.

If I wear my shoes I always double tie them so they don't hang off. Unless I'm going somewhere I always wear my boots.
I need motorcycle shoes/boots :(

I always wear boots. The wife has the shift shoes and she likes them alot. I've actually been thinking of getting some myself.

Just throwing this out there... The Cycle Gear near Greenspoint has a brand new pair of the Astars Tarmac boot in white in a size 8 for about $50. It was a return because the guy ordered the wrong size. They've been there for 2 months hence the discount. Not a bad deal if you have small ass feet like me!

Looks like a consensus - SHIFT Riding Shoes!
I love my shift riding shoes. Have 'em in the white (but I'm a girl) want them in the black too! (Cuz they are SHOES!)
