.....quit smoking and am on day 3 :eekspin:
oddly enough, the first day was the easiest. Yesterday was real tough, especially later in the evening. Right now is not too bad, but I will probably claw someone's eyes out for a cig right now!!!!:banghead:

Good luck. The first few weeks for many are the easiest. Its when you start clearing your lungs in months 2 through 6 that it really gets hard.
reminds me of that dude in that movie, Boys in the Hood,
he wants 20 for his crack, he says , I GOT THESE CHEESEBURGERS MAN,
ends up getting shot, lol

Dude, you have to get some of this. It really helped me to quit, and made the urges much easier

I got some nicotine gum. I only smoked maybe 5 cigs a day but I still wanted to quit. I went to target and they have their own brand for 25 bucks tax free.
There is a 2mg nicotine gum and a 4 mg. Pick the one that best suits your smoking addiction. I'm on the 2mg and almost never have the urge to smoke. Oh.. and i'm not following the plan that is provided with the gum. I'm doing about 3 pieces a day (the book says chew one piece every 1 - 2 hours).
just to let you know its been a month now and i haven't had one cig.

good luck, stay strong and get through it. i quit about 5 years ago, and had to quit drinking for about 6 months as well since nothing went better with a drink than a smoke...
