Left it in my assigned parking spot parked sideways. Even a lock wouldn't save it with me being gone 8 days. Gated communities dont mean much down here I guess.

Never lived in a big city before. Always heard of this kind of stuff happening but after almost 3 months of never having a issue I guess I didn't think twice. Thanks for reminding me why I hate big cities. Lol.

I'd say it's as good as gone but I wish you the best of luck in recovering it.
Best bet it to have theft on your ins. policy and/or lowjack installed on your bike.

Got full coverage. So im good there. But it would be nice to see the people get caught. Guess I could never get myself in the mindset to pick up a bike and jack it. Just me though I guess. Didn't have a chance to put the vin online at home last night. Will definetly do it today. Been browsing all the usual sites- Stuntlife, ebay, craigslist. Just something to do. Learned my lesson though. Next bike will have a alarm and chain and probably cuddle it at night. Maybe bring it to work with me like a pet.

man that sucks. i have the same bike. well mine is wrecked now.

to everyone criticizing him for leaving it out for that long. he didnt know any better. so dont try to make him feel dumb for not assuming that he is surrounded by fukkheads.

coming from a small town its easy to have trust in your fellow man. after living in houston for two years i can tell you i have none for anyone in this city. this place is a shit hole, and you have to assume that everyone wants to steal from you.

i hate it.

I've had a 99 R1 and 01 GSXR 1K stolen (replaced it with the one in my avatar) from apartment complex in College Station about 4 years ago. After that I got a 1 inch cable lock and locked the frame to the stairway.

I was just talking to someone on our ride yesterday that said they have had their bike stolen and returned twice without a scratch thanks to LowJack. If I stilled lived in an apartment I would have LowJack without question.

BTW, State Farm would not renew me after my 2nd bike got stolen. Can't say I blame them.

Yes LowJack is pricey but it really is worth it. I know it won't stop someone from stealing my bike if they really wanted to, but it does make me feel a little warm and squishy knowing I have it. Hope you are one of the lucky few that your bike turns up.

I have an 09 750 and it's actually in my bedroom. Trying to decide on a gps tracker and alarm. Until then, it sleeps with me.
