I am gearing a 600 for stunting and I am unsure about the 2 down 3 up kits. I dont know if that is the gearing I am looking for to do what I want. My question is what gearing ratio would I want to use to practice low speed wheelies and high gear wheeling. I would like to bring it up in 2 or 3 with no clutch. Thank you I am new to this fourm

ya sprockets. I know the stock rear is 47 not quite sure on the front though. The chart doen help though. I plan on getting both mew sprockets and chain and its 530.

no dont get a 520 chain if u can help it ...They r way weaker and more likely to brake on u than a 530 it should have a 525 on it right not too sure about 600's though r what kind for that matter but the rule of thumb is one up or down in front is equal to 5 up or down in rear...I would go up in rear and leave front alone my exsp.. is that the rear tend to give you more wheelie power and the front always seemed to rap out the gears faster with less wheelie power...but its intirely up to you my budy has 3 up in the rear and a powercamander and that seems to do the trick, you know still want some HWY left in the bike but be a bit less work to pull it up in 2nd and 3rd... BY THE WAY TIGHT CHART I THINK I MIGHT SAVE THAT ONE THANX

for every tooth you minus in the front its the same as adding 3 teeth in the rear.
so if you go down 2 in the front and up 3 in the rear, its like adding 9 teeth to your rear sprocket.
i would say thats to much, i would not go down more than one in the front.
a gsxr 600 should come up no problem with stock gearing, but if you want it a lil easier i would go down 1 in the front and up 3 or 4 in the rear. this will make a big differance in acceleration. you will also lose alot of your top end speed.

going up or down 1 in the front is equal to 3 up or down in the rear.. depending on your decision..

take my advice 520 chain conversions suck balls its a weaker chain, lighter sprockets and just not good for what your trying to do.
Your bike is heavy so one or two teeth up in the back wont do anything but make you waste gas and top end speed your gonna have to do something drastic to get it to come up in 2 or 3rd gear without clutching. +10 on the rear is the general happy spot for most people but you might find going with +15 on the rear better just make sure that your using at least a 525 chain becuase of the increased torque that the bike with have will break anything less within 2 or 3 attempts to wheelie...........
Im glad to see that everyone wanted to give you advice however you might want to take your stunt advice from real stunters ..............
p.s. ive learned the 520 conversion the hard way snapped chain during a wheelie locked up the back tire on the beltway :angel10: watchin over me

god bless you for that accident. and thank you for the advice 10 up in the rear sounds like a winner with the factory front gearing. Will the 525 chain work with the factory front gear ?

change both sprockets otherwise having a new new chain and only changing one sprocket will only wear your new ones out quicker btw front sprockets are to cheap not to change

yep, mike jones (sk8man311) is rockin -1 +10 on his f4i and loves it, but i know for peewee (spencer from 75south) hated his f4i with -1 and +10 said it didnt go slow enough for him, so it all depends on personal preferance... but if your really wanting to rock some slow stuff and do all sorts of other stunts i say -1 +15 but thats just me... and ps take joes thoughts, he is a very smart man, that my dad loves to make fun of JK budd! haha
