:director: 2000 gsxr 750 , Im a little confused ....Does anyone know or anyone exsperienced this problem and might know what it is..,Sometimes it does this and more and more frequently it turns over sometimes and starts right up no problem then other times it turns over and out of no ware the starter stops turning over while im holding down the starter button so i let off of it and hit agand the same thing happens i even tried turning the key off and trying it again but the same thing i even make sure i let the fuel pump prime all the way butthat doesnt seem to be it,it also makes a slight noise when it stops like the starter is sticking r something...my guess would be the batterie are the starter but not sure i was hoping that maybe this problem common and someone might have exsperienced this before but yet the batterie always seems fine it turns over and the lights are bright everything else seems to get full power...i havent tested it though i was thinking of trying my other bikes batterie just to eleminate the prob but havent got @ to it yet thought i might ask @ before i dive into it just incase...

dude i kinda had that happen to me lately at the track too... it wouldn't turn over at all...then i rolled it back about 10 ft and it started right up...one other time at home too.. one of my friends told me that sometimes the way u stop ur bike and the position of the trans. makes the bike think its in neut. even when the lights on....just roll ur bike forward or back a bit and it'l start right up...

Loose connection or switch going out. The circuit runs through your kickstand switch, clutch switch, starter button and starter relay, that should give you some starting points of where to look.

Thanx for the advice ill look into the wiring in the switch and clutch and kickstand but it seams mor like a batterie or a starter vrem vrem vrem rem click ,let off starter button press it again vrem vrem vrem vrem click...is starters something that would go out on the bike...r is it very uncommon because if it aint the starter maybe batterie is just a little low r not enough cold cranking volts what would yall think?

Possibly the starter relay or the starter clutch going bad.

i had the same thing happen to my bike the night i got it its an 02 750. i think its a battery problem. i had the switch on because i was checkin the gauges and setting the trip and the battery wouldnt turn over the bike. it did just like you said. because ive noticed on the older bikes the headlight doesnt turn off when you start it therefore draining the battery. i just charged my battery and it started no problem. so now i start the bike as soon as i put the switch to on so i wont have that problem no more. maybe itll work maybe not i dunno

thanx everyone ill check the battery fixing to go put it on charger right now ill beholding me fingers crossed hope thats the problem instead of the starter relay...but def not a scencer problem like the clutch if so you can disconect that and jump the two wiers together to bypass it same thing with the kickstand safty but thanx for your help anyways...ill keep posted

FIXED i checked the starter clutch gear and every thing looked fine...Charged the battery, still did it any ways the problem was that the plugs where soaked with gas and looked dirty nothing much just a basic clean job worked out fine and the air filter looked rather dirty after that she fired up and ran like a scalding ape started righy up no more vrem vrem shit im very suprised but very happy i wouldnt have guessed that would create such a problem like that had me stumbling in the starter / starter cluch / battery B.S. Thanx yall for trying to shoot some advice this way...Good looking out

I'm glad you got it fixed but you need to check one more thing. It could have been a small (-) wire running from your battery out and not the main negative that bolts to the block. By moving it during fixing the other stuff a contact was made.

I also checked that too ...it seemed to be nice and tight good conection..to be ownest i think it may need to be re maped because it seems to be pritty hard on the pluggs it seemed to have done it again and cleaned pluggs and fired up with ease it might be running real rich i see that you also have a starting problem no problems scence and its been about 2 weeks

I'd check your air filter and then remap it.
