these are now my new fitness goals

So what do you think of this list?

So how many of you meet this criteria?

Post up which ones you can do. I am hitting the gym Monday morning to evaluate myself.

1) Bench 1.5 times your body weight
2) Run 1.5 miles in 10 minutes
3) Touch the rim
4) Leg press 2.5 times your body weight
5) Swim 700 yards in 12 minutes
6) Do 40 pushups
7) Waist to hip of .90 or less
8) Run 300 yards in less than 1 minute
9) Touch your toes
10) Toss a basketball 75 feet kneeling

so f I cant bench press almost 300 lb, I'm not considered "fit"? retarded.

i can do all of it except bench 1.5 times my weight. in 10 mins i can run 2 miles when im in racing shape

4) Leg press 2.5 times your body weight. Check.

8) Run 300 yards in less than 1 minute. Check
9) Touch your toes. Check

1) Bench 1.5 times your body weight---weight 205, bench 275
2) Run 1.5 miles in 10 minutes---not sure the best i have recorded is 11:14, we shall see soon...
3) Touch the rim---yup
4) Leg press 2.5 times your body weight---i can do around 4 times bodyweight for reps
5) Swim 700 yards in 12 minutes---not a clue i dont swim now.
6) Do 40 pushups---i can do 80 in a minute
7) Waist to hip of .90 or less--- .80
8) Run 300 yards in less than 1 minute--- not a clue i dont often run that short a distance
9) Touch your toes---yup
10) Toss a basketball 75 feet kneeling---i guess it would help to HAVE a basketball...

3) Touch the rim...i'm 5'8" does the backboard count?

For me:

1) Bench 1.5 times your body weight (hell no)

3) Touch the rim (touch what rim?)
4) Leg press 2.5 times your body weight (hell no)
5) Swim 700 yards in 12 minutes (I can't walk 700 yards in 12 min)
6) Do 40 pushups (Yes)
7) Waist to hip of .90 or less (:shrug:)
8) Run 300 yards in less than 1 minute (doubtful)
9) Touch your toes (yes)
10) Toss a basketball 75 feet kneeling (nope)


Ok, so what do I win? :D

Since i am 5 months pregnant, there isnt much that i can do, but i have been going to the gym at my apts and using the bicycle for 45 minutes, then resting for 10 minutes, and then walking the treadmill for 45 minutes...i was gonna do ones to work out my arms, but i dont wanna put any pressure on my tummy....resluts are good so far. Not trying to lose weight just get toned up...

Damn I just got busted in my cubicle with my pants down "touching the rim". I tried to tell the lady that it was a fitness test.

Good stuff, good luck on achieving them :thumb:

1) Bench 1.5 times your body weight (:shrug: I don't even do bench but I can squat [for reps] over two times my bodyweight :keke:)
2) Run 1.5 miles in 10 minutes (Yesm :nod:)
3) Touch the rim (Lil disadvantaged in height but I still gets it done :thumb:)
4) Leg press 2.5 times your body weight (:nod: But I don't leg press, I free range squat)
5) Swim 700 yards in 12 minutes (Haven't swam in a while so I have no basis for judgment)
6) Do 40 pushups (Yessirrrr :thumb:)
7) Waist to hip of .90 or less (.82 so I've got a lil further to go to be extraordinary but I solidly meet beat the .90 threshold :nod:)
8) Run 300 yards in less than 1 minute (Hmm, curious...if not, I'm sure I am close...I'll check tonight :shrug:)
9) Touch your toes (Jiu Jitsu guys typically can put their feet behind their heads and well, I'm a jiu jitsu guy :thumb:)
10) Toss a basketball 75 feet kneeling (whooh, not sure...that's a helluva throw for a running back :rofl:)

Yea i am trying up my cardio, but its really hard to do right now....but the bicycle seems to be working pretty well....

I'd have to bench 170!!! Never gonna happen...I give up:keke: I thought I was doing good when I did 135:sad:

I dont even wanna know what i would have to bench right now.....:angry7:
