So I finally got around to jailbreaking my iPhone the other day and did a little research and found this cydia app that allows you to run certain programs in the background while you have your phone locked. I.e. internet radio, GPS, and more...
Well Needless to say I tried it out with my normal bicycle route here in the Sugar Land Area. Im sure their are other apps out there that will do this but ill give you my feedback on the app Im running. Its called Instamapper, and you can get it from the App store on iTunes. Essentially im running this GPS tracking device in the background while listening to my itunes and riding my usual route. This application KICKS ASS. You never really know how long your route is until you get one of these mappers. here is a screen shot below of the route I just finished up about 15mins ago.
(Shamless Plug)
Ive also lost about 15 pounds so far and 1.5 inches off the waist. I had estimated that the route was about 4 or 5 miles but damn 8!?!?!?! crazy stuff.
(end)
Anyways just thought I would share my wonderful success since I ended up getting my new bike today. Enjoy!
